Diana's campaign is built on three key pillars, each shaped by voices across Ward 11 University-Rosedale.
Housing you can afford in the city you love
Too many Torontonians are being priced out of the city they built. Renters live in constant fear of renovictions and rent spikes. First-time buyers face an impossible choice between an overpriced home and leaving the city entirely. Families can't find housing that fits their needs or budget — and seniors can't afford to downsize even when they want to.
We're fighting for:
Co-op housing and community land trusts that take the profit out of housing
Stronger renter protections so rentals are safe, livable, and stable
More "missing middle" housing so residents can afford to put down roots and raise a family
Supporting seniors to age in place with the right options around them
A real path to ending chronic homelessness by 2036
Safe, reliable transit that just works
Getting around this city shouldn't feel like a gamble, but for too many Torontonians, it does. Riders can't count on the TTC to show up on time or feel safe when it does. Drivers sit in the congestion that follows. The whole city pays when transit doesn't work.
That means:
Retractable stop signs on streetcars and no left turns at major intersections to keep the city moving
Safer stations through crisis support workers, not just police
Daily fare capping to keep transit costs predictable and fair
Extended subway service hours (e.g. late night weekends and early morning Sunday)
Protecting community spaces for people, not profit
Toronto should be a city of vibrant neighbourhoods where community thrives. The reality? Our parks are neglected, artists are being pushed out, and community spaces are being sold off to the highest bidder. We deserve better than that.
The plan:
Invest in parks, community centres, and green space worth gathering in
Fund local artists to beautify community spaces with murals and public art
Create clean public washrooms across the city
Upgrade bike lanes to protected cycle tracks — and make them beautiful
Protect Charter rights to peacefully protest and gather in our communities
Stand up against public spaces being handed to private developers behind closed doors
Every dollar helps — and thanks to Toronto's contribution rebate program, most of it comes back to you.
